The debut exhibition from Xavier Connelly of Dawn Press represents a pragmatic and aesthetic deconstruction of the four-colour printing process. Using the Japanese Risograph printing machine as a tool of choice, the compact suite of works that populate Process in Print examine and unpack the effects of adding or subtracting colours needed to recreate a photograph. As poetic as they are procedural, these works invoke both the simplicity and complexity of colour though print.
